Hello Im looking at a way to power the 640 with an inverter. I would like to know what the the YS 640 draws watts or current wise. I under stand its a variable question ie the hotter you run it or colder it is outside the more the auger has to run, the more power it consumes. But I would like a ball park figure, if you need a setting lets say 300 deg with an ambient of 70 Deg F.

Thanks
Wayne

Approximately 200 watts at startup for 5 minutes and approximately 50 watts for the duration of the cook, no matter what the set temperature is. This is per cooker running on the battery

Do the 240V export cookers have the same wattage? I'd expect them to.

Thanks

If you mean power draw, yes.

Yes, wattage is the same. 240 pulls less amps from the wall, but watts (work done) is the same. Ohms Law.

Good to know I should be able to run it off my existing inverter, if I ever want to :)

The Yoder power requirements are not anywhere to be found on the Yoder website. I forgot to look for the power label when seeing my new unit sitting on the dealer's lot along with over a dozen more pre-sold competition cart YS 640S units sitting there. It was neat to see many black, silver, orange, red, blue and my yellow unit all in a row. My unit was built 31 March 2021 and at the only Arizona dealership on 2 April 2021. My unit should be delivered on 8 April 2021.

The startup power at 200 watts is higher than the Traeger Century 885 labels 85 watts showing on the Traeger label. The Yoder running power of 50 watts is much lower. From my very limited experience, electricty usage is not major cost of operation for these grills. Pellets however ......
