I got a marketing email from All Things BBQ titled, "Yoder's #1 Accessory Now Standard with 640s & 480s". Praise be – the 2-piece heat diffuser is standard. Not sure if this is an ATBBQ exclusive or if Yoder has finally realized that there is little point in a one-piece diffuser. Even if you don't take off the trap door for direct grilling, you need the darn thing to be able to conveniently dump out ashes after each cook.

The only thing that would make me happier is if they sent rebates to people like me who had to buy the d*** thing as an accessory.

Anyone feel like the accessories and upgrades are crazy costly?
I mean like theres not a lot of value in a small piece of metal like that and one guy could probably pound out 50 or 60 of em in a day...
