Hello everyone. I am now the proud owner of a YS640. I picked up "Yolanda" in February and have been learning the ins and outs of of the pit ever since. I have to say that she behaves as advertised and I couldn't be more pleased that I chose Yoder over the other pellet grills out there. I did agonize over grate temps in the beginning but after reading some of the great posts by YoderHerb and others I decided to just let Yo do her thing. Now I am turning out great food and hardly have to do a thing.

Absolutely! I just got my ys640 last week. I have been smoking for 5+ years on a weber smokey mountain unit. I thought it was time to get serious. Where are you located in this fine state?
