Bought a YS 640 brand new on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Have had a Louisiana smoker for a couple years and although it did pretty good It had a lot of problems. Warranty was great but I got tired of having to put parts in it all the time.
Anyway..........I have a question on firing this thing up.
When I hit start and it fires up and the temperature is set on the standard 350f the grill will go past 700f and stay there for a little while. This seems excessive to me. Thoughts?
The lid is closed and I have tried it with the plate in and out and the slider all the way out to not concentrate heat below the temp probe.
