Dear Yoder Community,

I’ve had an offset smoker for 3 yrs, but it’s too much hassle to do long cooks on it. Even with a CyberQ you still have to feed it.

So I’ve been in touch with BBQ Europe and I’m getting the YS640s as soon as it’s available over here - which they say should be in 3 months or so.

I have a question about the heat diffuser plate - some people have recommended getting a piece of rebar cut to wedge the diffuser down to prevent any distortion of it over time (I assume from the heat?).

It’s a simple thing to get, but is this really needed?

Thanks,

Welcome aboard!

The diffuser now has a reinforcement, that the earlier models did not have, so there isn't a need to use a piece of rebar.
