Jim Allen from Edmond, Oklahoma. I've been smoking with a Cookshack Electric smoker for years and love it but needed something bigger. Decided on the YS-640 as I don't need anything bigger than that. It's loaded with 6 racks of baby back ribs. Looking forward to being part of the forum. I will continue to use my Cookshack for smaller loads.

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for joining the group!
The YS640 works great for smaller cooks too.

Welcome! I have used a cookshack for over 10 years and has been a great unit for me as well. I felt the Yoder would be the next level but will hang onto the cookshack. Also have a WSM and Egg but the Yoder will get the majority of cooking time for sure. Can't wait until it arrives.

Welcome to the group!
I too have a Cookshack electric, it's only used for a warming oven on the major holidays. The food on the YS640 tastes so much better. I think you'll use it for all your cooks big or small.
Good luck!
Mike
