Temperature control issue...help!!!

Hi Friends. Long time user, first time poster.

Fired up our YS1500 today and the digital display is reading 0 degrees. The smoker is working, and we're able to adjust the temperature that it is set to, but the actual temp keeps increasing (assuming because the smoker 'thinks' that it's temperature is actually 0. Has anyone encountered this before? Any help is appreciated. Tried calling customer service but i think they're closed for the day.
