Hey everyone, I was smoking two briskets on my 640 last night when smoke started coming up the auger and into my pellet hopper. No fire in the hopper but I have some pellets that were starting to darken from the heat. Any idea of what to look for what is causing this problem?

My pit is one of the original ys640 to be made and was updated to a ys640s about a year ago in which I have had no problems until now. The firebox and smoker are cleaned out before every cook. The previous cook was doing the direct flame option to do a couple steaks and was the first time I had used that option since purchasing the smoker.

Edit - the smoker kept losing heat last night as well. I received about 5 separate alerts that the temp dropped past 190 when the smoker was set at 230. This hasn't happened before either outside of running out of pellets before.

Check to see if both of your fans are working.
