Hi all. My old computer was burning a thermocouple every year for some reason, so my dealer gave me a deal new one and I bought a new thermocouple.. upgrade to the newer short version.

I've installed it and haven't cooked yet. I set it for 350. Its overshooting to 450 and calling for a reduction in pellets, but it isnt going down. My external thermometer is showing only 370.

Can anyone give me advice on this? My dealer isnt available today.. is it possible I've installed something wrong or that this thermocouple is faulty out of box?

Thanks in advance.

Ps. Theres hardly a flame going, and the temps are dropping. Really feels like the thermocouple is bad. Ugh.
