I have been using the very first prototype 2 piece diffuser since the beginning of 2013, and have not had an issue.

As always, if something does happen, we are here to help.

Hello I am seriously considering making a purchase of the YS640. Is this warping still an issue and does it also occur with the 2 piece diffuser with the access door?

It really wasn't a widespread issue, and nor is it now. The warping affected a very small number of owners.

Both the new reinforced diffuser and the 2 piece diffuser were tested to the maximum temperature of the cooker(s).

Is this a guarantee that a diffuser will not warp, absolutely not, but, we are here to help to resolve issues should they arise. We are available either via email at customerservice@yodersmokers.com or by phone at 877.409.6337, ext 2.

My old one did never warp nor has my new one with the door. The new door style is awesome for a quick clean out. That said, when I did 9 chickens I did have to clean the pit.

Send an email to customerservice@yodersmokers.com with the serial number, build date, and pictures of the diffuser.

I've had my YS640 for a year. It came with the reinforced diffuser, it has become warped in the middle left to right, and twisted on one end This prevents the drippings from flowing down to the waste can. Any ideas on how to remedy this issue?

I wonder if a stainless diffuser would be subject to the same warpage issues?

I have had my ys640 now for a month and my diffuser is warped. Never had it over 300 for that matter.

Mine warped fairly early. But still seems to cook great. So whatever, just dealing with it until I purchase my two piece.

I’ve got a warped fire box and warped burn grate. Only had the grill for a week. Sitting in the garage now until I hear back on what I’m supposed to do with it.

The slightly warped heat diffuser is the least of my worries.
