YS1500 Gasket

Do the new YS1500’s have lid gaskets as the 640 & 480 and if no, is there any harm or ill-effect for users to install a high temp gasket?

I have a new 1500 arriving soon and had considered putting on a gasket (if not already on there) mainly to help ease the metal to metal contact

The YS1500 does not have a gasket. Adding gasket material to the YS1500 may cause the door to not close properly, as there isn't a manner of adjusting the door hinges to account for the added gasket material.

When I said gasket I should have been more descriptive. I was looking at a thin felt strip that was rated for high temps, just to help in the metal to metal contact. I could see how something thick like an oven type gasket could cause added stress on the hinges and not allow them to close properly.

I was curious if anyone had ever tried to do anything on the YS1500 to help eliminate the metal to metal contact and future paint rubbing as would normally happen.

thanks

Even the thinnest gasket material will cause the YS1500 door to fit incorrectly, as the door hinges can not be adjusted to accommodate.
