Wifi Upgrade Install - Fan housing welded to YS640 panel?

I am preparing to install the wifi upgrade to my 2017 ys640. The instruction video shows the fan housing (W90553) being removed for access to replace the blower fan.

On my smoker the housing appears to be welded to the front panel bottom plate and so is non-removable. I'm sure I can find a way to access the bolts inside to remove the fan but am wondering if anyone has run into other differences that may present a compatibility issue with the kit.
