Yoder Smokers YS Series Pellet Grill Expanded Metal Cooking Grates

They make using the two piece heat diffuser so much easier. Just hook the cooking grate on the left and slide over the grate on the right, remove the fire cover and slide the grate back for open flame cooking.

I have a YS640s Comp Cart without the blanket and an older YS640 non comp cart with the blanket. I am in upstate NY and fired up the YS640s in 10 degrees with no problem. I like not having the blanket because you are not supposed to fire it at more than 350 with the blanket on.

I just keep the blanket on the YS640 and only use that one on long low temp cooks.

The cover is a must. You won't get a better one aftermarket. The OME cover fits like a glove on both my grills.

Get the dual temp probes from the factory. They install them on the comp cart model but I think you need to do it on the non comp cart.

The Yoder gloves are awesome too.

You won't be sorry.

I have a gas grill for high heat and searing, so I'll skip those accessories.

The accessories I'm thinking about are:
fitted cover
insulating jacket
half depth shelf
3-tier smoking rack

I've already got a Maverick ET-732 and probes that I can add if required.

There's an option for more Fireboard connected probes? I'd like that!
