Was just watching a walkthrough of the new YS1500S and the guy was saying the pellet hopper/controller was now insulated between the pit? Is this true and if so it it a retrofit existing owners can do?

Also I see there is an new plug for the probe port. Haven't seen these available so will they be sometime in the future?

Thanks all.

Thanks I have and Dave tells me second half of 2020 retrofit kits will be available. Thats a long wait for us aussies unfortunately.

My question however was more around is there now some form of insulation between the cook chamber and pellet hopper box as I have not seen this mentioned anywhere apart from the vid I saw on youtube? He specifically mentioned this was to reduce likelihood of back burn into the pellet hopper.

Cheers

Yes, there is insulation between the pellet hopper and the bulkhead of the cooking chamber, no. It has nothing to do with an auger burn back. Yes, this will be part of the retro fit kits.
