Been meaning to buy a blanket my YS 640 , but never got around to it.
Finally remembered and bought this one:

About $29 with shipping.

Just did an overnight brisket/chuck cook and really like it!
I do not measure pellet usage, but a very conservative guess is a 20% savings, probably more.
Happy Camper here! :D

I will be using it year round.
No sense in heating up the neighborhood with my pellets. :D

I was thinking about purchasing an army surplus wool blanket for my loaded Wichita, I like to cook year round also.

You mean the old green blankets with the US stamped on them? I spent many a sleepless night on those scratchy old things. I think the soldiers still use them in basic. Not sure how well it would work for this purpose though. They never did much to keep me warm. I ordered the thermal jacket with the ys640 and called it a day.

I did read another forum of someone who had to scrape off the welders blanket he was using. I think it was fiberglass or something. I'd just advise to use caution.
