I have a YS480 and I love it to death. I hated dry BBQ that you get at most restaurants and figured the only way to get better was to do it myself. And I was right. Now to my question.

Is there any plan in the works to offer the new ACS controller as a retrofit to an existing smoker? I have only had my 480 for about 18 months and would hate to have to spend 2k on a new one but the controller was my fall down when looking at smokers. There was another brand of smoker that I was looking at that had a controller very similar to the new ACS and the only reason I didn't buy that one was price. It was like 1200 bucks more money. But that wifi enabled controller would be sweet if we could retrofit it into our older smokers and make them seem new again.

Thoughts?

Great to hear that these are coming. Just saw the launch of the YS640s with the ACS and had the same question about a retrofit kit. Super excited to hear ya'll will have this available in the near future. This feature has been something I've been wanting for awhile!
