It is close to 24 pounds of cast iron, and is double sided. Flat on one side and raised on the other, with the Yoder Smokers logo cast into the surface. This griddle is very heavy, and fits perfectly. I will be doing some steak and burger cooks on one in the near future.

Installed in a YS640

2 would fit side by side in a YS640. Just 1 in a YS480

Interesting. How would one keep it seasoned if using it over the fire pot. The temps would burn the seasoning off the bottom side every time, no?

After the food comes off, the cooker is shut down, and the fire has died down, I would flip it over and spray it with oil. You can always spray with oil and put it in the oven to re-season like a cast iron pan,. Just like the cooker, the more it's used, the better it gets.
