finally pulled the trigger

Hi Yoder owners! I am a middle aged guy who has two small businesses so I always seem to be working! I love BBQ and have been intrigued by pellet smokers for about a year. I finally decided to pull the trigger when I set up a tailgate party that turned into a 270 person extravaganza! I had already done my research and bought the Yoder YS640 just three weeks ago. My tailgate was yesterday and, thanks to my new smoker, it was a HUGE success! Luckily, I did a test run with two pork shoulders last week and found that I would have been 3 hours short on finishing, I bought 18 butts and was able to put 10 on the Yoder and 8 in my inside ovens. I then wrapped them in foil and pulled one smoked butt and one oven cooked butt together and mixed them up so there would be "bark" mixed in evenly. The meat was excellent and was almost as popular as the 7 kegs of beer we drank! I am SOOOO happy I spent the extra cash and bought the Yoder. EXTREMELY HAPPY YODER OWNER!!!

Welcome to the forum and thanks for joining the group! Happy to hear the tailgate was a success. It will likely grow even larger now.

Great story. My 640 has worked great for our annual pig roasts too (I don't cook the pig on the 640, but I do a 2 cases of butts and 2 cases of briskets). Welcome. You'll love the 640!
