I am from Northern New Hampshire ( Whitefield) and spend most of my time here while visiting Charlotte NC a number of times a year, My wife wanted to get me a Traeger from Costco a few years back because I showed an interest in learning how to properly smoke meat. After learning about them I decided to wait until I could afford a Yoder and now have the 460. I don't have a clue as to what I am doing but intend to learn. The biggest problem facing me is that I am alone here in the north country so I am the only one eating what I am cooking, slowing the learning up a bit. For now I am doing a lot of reading and brewing a lot of beer, getting ready for the summer months.

Did I say 460, meant 640. Going to be a slow learn the way my mind turns things around.

Welcome Dan! I live just west of Boston, so if you're ever down south (ha ha...) in Boston, I'll be smoking something on the 640. Congrats and smart move waiting for the 640 over the Traeger. Not trying to knock it, there just in a different league than your Yoder (and I've used both extensively)...
