Hey everyone!

Just picked up a Yoder YS480 last week. It is my first smoker. Originally I was looking at another brand of pellet smoker but after comparing them side by side there was no comparison. Smoked 3 racks of ribs so far. The flavor was there but they weren't no where as tender as I would have liked them to be. More research and ribs needed...lol Smoked them for 3-2-1 at 275. I got some grill grates on their way too. Love that the Yoder is a grill/smoker combo.

Any and all advice welcome!

Welcome aboard!

You should cook meat to the proper tenderness "feel" and not to a temperature or strict timings.
