Hi I'm Brian and I am a new owner of the YS1500. I'm excited about his new purchase and a big step up from the Traeger. I live in Ogden Utah and any information you can offer to help me in this new Pit is appreciated also anyone in Utah with the 1500 that would like to teach the art please feel free to contact me.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for joining the group.
I would say, to start, enjoy cooking with less radiant heat and more even temps. There are a lot of difference between the YS1500 and a Traeger.
