Hello all,

I recently started a cook of some burgers last night and noticed receiving a small annoying shock when I lifted that handle to place food in my YS640. I also was able to replicate this experience to a greater degree by touching the front shelf. Once the smoker was shut off I did not have this same thing occur so I am assuming it is coming from the unit when it is turned on. Any assistance with my new occurrence would be appreciated.

Are you using a grounded outlet for power?

Does this happen if you use a different outlet?

Do you have a competition cart or a backyard cart?

Studies show that shock therapy is ineffective as a stop smoking aid. ;)

Sorry, had to go there. Good luck on a quick fix.
