Hoping there may be a quick fix for this...YS640 worked perfectly, as usual, on Wednesday to smoke birds for Thanksgiving. Trying to fire it up now and igniter rod doesn't get hot. I have unplugged the unit, waited and plugged it in again. Fans come on perfectly, auger works fine and controller seems to be powering up normally. Just not getting any heat so pellets won't light...

Any suggestions? If I don't get this fixed within the next 30 minutes, I'll have to use the oven... Ohhh, the shame...

All help appreciated!

Is your YS640 plugged into a GFI outlet? If so, did it trip?

You can start a fire manually with a torch or electric lighter if you need to. I've had to do that before. Remove the grates and plate, put a few fresh pellets in the burn grate, turn the cooker on just like normal and then ignite the pellets manually. Once they are lit, put the parts back in and operate normally.

STEP AWAY FROM THE OVEN!! 8-)

Thanks to both of you for tips. Just checked igniter contacts with ohm meter. Dead. No reading whatsoever... Emailed customer service. Thanks again!
