I would not call it a full out hopper fire but it did start to burn back into the auger. For the last several weeks when I go to dump my fire pot, and I do this before each cook, the ash is all the way to the auger with charred pellets but not fully burned. Temp of cooks run from 225-400 (using Grill Grates).
Yesterday while checking my turkeys I noticed smoke coming from the hopper removed turkeys and inspected fire pot same thing but is was fully engulfed in flame burning up to auger and still dumping pellets.. Cook Temp was 350.

Anyone having this same issue? Is it a fan Issue? I have terrible fan noise when its cooler outside. it sometimes goes away after I pound on the side. I have never been able to do more than 1 cook before emptying my fire box as well.

Moisture contaminated pellets can cause this, as well as a non-working internal fan.
