Herb,

First of all, Merry Christmas to you and yours.............

I'm having a issue with the air intake fan on my 640. It struggles to run at normal speed and will almost bring itself to a halt. With just a slight tap on the intake opening it will return to normal speed for a few minutes then bog down again. In fact I'm warming up the offset smoker because I have a feeling it's going to lock up any minute and I cant lose the shoulder I've got on it. Thought's?

Thanks, David

The external fan is not as important as the internal fan, so if the internal fan is working you should not have an issue.

Annually you should remove the end panel and clean the fans and inside the hopper. We have seen spider webs stop the fans, dirt, etc.

Send an email to customerservice@yodersmokers.com wirh the serial number and build date, your name, shipping address and phone number. Include a description of what you are experiencing, and we will het you fixed up.

This may be the solution to my post on the other thread. I'll give your recommendation a try.
