Hi guys, Greetings from Germany, now stays near Frankfurt an piece of USA. :D Unfortunally i have two Problems with the Unit. The one is, the door dont close correctly at the left side. The right side of the door fits good. The gap gets bigger when the Yoder becomes hotter. It smokes alot out of the gap.

The second problem is the tempreature. I do the Checklist from Yoder and today i run the Tempreature Test. I run the Test in Fahrenheit.

Maybe the Problem is connectet to the problem with the door?

What is the serial number and build date from the door plate on your cooker?

Here is the procedure for realigning the lid on the cooker: download/Install%20and%20Repair/Adjusting%20The%20Hinges%20on%20a%20Yoder%20Smoker%20Pellet%20Grill.pdf and make sure that the hinge retaining bolt next to the hinge on the hopper side is not keeping the lid from fully closing.

Where did you have the external temperature probes located in the cooker? Here is our testing procedure explained: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=787

Have you verified that both fans are running properly? viewtopic.php?f=36&t=354

Hi, thanks for the reply. Here the information u want.

Serial: 23637 Date: 03-29-16 bought on 7.7.17 but it was a displayed grill.

That was the first thing i try out, but it is not enough space in the Holes to readjust the Lid and i wont drill it larger for now.

The Probes was located slighly left from the middle and centered front to back lying directly on the grid.

The Fans are running.

I do the whole checklist and the smoker was clean.

Here is the "shotgun" approach of what to look for with your temperature concerns: download/Best%20Practice%20and%20how%20to/Temperature%20Issues%20Check%20List.pdf

Did you remove the hinge retaining bolt that is just to the left of the left hinge (hopper end) prior to realigning the lid?

Hi i loose booth hinges and all 4 screws of each hinge, it makes a little bit better but not enough.

I download all of your Troubleshooting guides yesterday and run three tests, all in place, no foil, temp sensors in right place. :(

Yes, but it is not enough space, to the retaining bolt AND the hinge. But u see @ the picture it is no space from the lid to the hinge. The only option is, move the hinge on the Body backwards, but for that i must drill the holes bigger. And on a new grill is that for me the last option.

Replace the bolt with one with a smaller head, so the lid is not kept from fitting correctly.

Use a M6 bolt and nut of the same length as the one you removed (in the US it is 1/4-20) that has a head like this one:

Thats not the problem, the problem is the space between the hinge and the lid, there is no room anymore. To solve the problem the Lid must backwars but i already stuck at the hinge.
