You unplug the cooker when not in use, right?

Make sure that the power plug is firmly seated in the socket on the cooker.

Thanks for your help! Yes I unplug it when not in use. The plug is firmly plugged into the grill and outlet. The grill is not losing power, the bluish background light stays on only the display with the set point goes blank.

Is it a backyard cart or a competition cart model?

Are you using an extension cord? If so, try plugging the cooker's power cord directly into the power outlet.

There is some sort of electrical anomaly that is causing the cooker to reset. We have seen this at competitions with bad power, bad extensions cords, bad outlets, broken fuse holder, etc.

Without knowing more, I would suggest that you try a different outlet. If it still does it, we will need to take the end panel off the hopper and check the wiring inside.

Thank you very much for your assistance!! I tried a different plug{first time I've moved the grill since new} That didn't work so I pulled the end off of the hopper and checked the wiring connections!! Low and Behold one of the wires on the fuse holder was just about to fall off. Plugged that in firmly and the grill working just like it should. I may have loosened the wire last summer when I replaced the thermocouple. Once again thanks a lot you saved my Thanksgiving turkey cook. It would have never been even close as good cooked it in the oven.
