Practice bird pic 14 lber

Spathcocked, rubbed under the skin with canola and simon&garfunkel rub.
640 using whatever pellets I had left in the hopper from last cook
Very nice...will do the 26 lb bird for Turkey Day

Looks very good.

I'm assuming you already have that 26lb Pterodactyl, so for next time you might consider cooking two 13 pounders instead of one big bird. They will cook quicker, and more evenly throughout.

Smoked turkey rocks, any leftovers will make a great smoked turkey and bacon club sandwich.
