I am still having one hell of a time trying to find the sweet spot where the temps are the same across the grates. dampener 5 inches out, 5 inches in. its enough to drive me nuts. all I've read is how yoders hold very consistent temps throughout the cooker. I haven't found that 'special spot for the dampener. please advise or point me in the right direction.
My damper is pulled all the way out to the right, and then back in about 5". Stays there`100% of the time. I mostly cook on mine now. I went through months of trying to make it do what I thought it should do, until I realized I had burned more pellets trying to get it to match my assumptions than actually cooking food.
