I know there is a thread about how far to adjust the dampener on the 640 to get close temps across the cooking grate. could someone send me the link if you have it handy? I would appreciate it.

Well, I think mine is ALWAYS set at 5" in to the left. That's a good spot. The temps will never be perfect. I noticed mine got better as it seasoned.

You do the biscuit test? You have some digital probes? They can help you set the best spot.

I will try the biscuit test, and 5 inches closed from full open is a good place to start with damper? thanks
