YS 640, just got it and After initial burn I noticed the paint chipping/flaking on the interior lid by the hinges. I tried to upload a pic but it said it was too large, even though it was a pic from my phone. Is the paint flaking normal? I emailed customer support with the pic on 10/30 and haven't received a response. I will be patient and let them help, but seems like this shouldn't happen after dropping $1800. Any thoughts? I saw a couple other posts with same issue but seems like BS that I have to sand and paint after one use.

The fix is to sand and repaint. To prevent this from happening, put some high heat vegetable oil, like canola oil, on the lid lip and on the body where the lid sits. Doing this will prevent the paint from adhering and peeling off.
