Put my Tri Tip on as usual. Running for two hours plus at 175. Pulled it of at 100 degrees to crank the grill to 400. Hitt the prime button for ten seconds to give it a jump start. Fuse blew. Unplugged, emptied burn grate and waited 10 minutes . Fuse blew 2 more times. Out of fuses. Need some help. Brought the tri tip in to finish in the cast iron skillet.
The fuse blew as soon as you hit the prime button? This is a new one, as I have never heard of this before.
On the subsequent attempts, when did the fuse blow each time? Looking for some timings to help possibly figure this out.
Yes the fuse blew time. One time after I pushed start and the second was just as I turn the fans on. Each time it was unplugged for 10 minutes before restart
As a test, unplug the igniter and see if the fuse blows. Here are some instructions to help, don't remove the igniter, just unplug it: viewtopic.php?p=633#p633 Have a bowl handy to catch all the pellets to ease clean up for this test.
I'll need to go pick up some fuses first. Used all that I had...... Can I get them anywhere or should I call the store and order them? Thanks Herb

Herb FInally had a chance to unplug the ignitor and put in a new fuse. Now when I plug the cord back in and switch it on I get nothing. No lights, no fans. What's next.
Are you plugged into a GFCI outlet? Has it tripped?
If not the GFCI, I have to assume that this is related to the fuse holder or the fuse, as unplugging the igniter has nothing to do with powering the cooker. Is the replacement fuse 20mm long?
One other thing to try. Sometimes even when you are not directly plugged into a GFCI, you can trip one somewhere else in the house (usually somewhere close). Go through the whole house and reset all GFCI plugs as they might be on the same line.
The outlet is fine. Other things run from it with no problems. The fuse is the exact one you specified
So it seems the second I plug the grill in the fuse blows. There is no time for the lights or fan to come on.
It is time to take the hopper end panel off and inspect the wiring, and take the controller out to inspect it.
This is a new one, we have never had a problem like this from pushing the buttons on the controller. It is obviously not the igniter. If after inspecting things, nothing is obvious, i.e., burned, dark, etc., send an email to customerservice@yodersmokers.com with your name, shipping address, serial number and build date. Reverence this thread on the forum and we will get things figured out and parts sent.
I spoke to Don earlier when I called the store just to get fuses from from you, because I ran out of ideas. We have people coming over next weekend and no grill. He asked me to look inside at the wiring, I didn't see anything. The fuse holder is not cracked, and it doesn't seem lose. I'll take pictures in the morning and send them as requested.

So the problem ended up being the auger motor. Yoder sent the part yesterday and I received it today. Now I can't get the allen screws out!
