I installed a new thermocouple yesterday. I also resealed the burn box. I have both the new burn box and grate. Turned the grill on as usual fired right up. I watched it climb to 350 without a problem. What I noticed is that it didn't go into the maintenance mode until 350. It didn't start the cool down mode until 400 . I just want know if this is normal. Thx

Yes this is normal. What that tells me is that the controller ramped up to either H2 or H3 during startup. From the temperatures that you stated, my guess is that it was in H2.

Remember, after the cooker fires up, close the lid and walk away for 30 minutes to let the cooker do what it needs to do to get to your set temperature.

It cooled to 380 jumped back up to 412 and after an hour it seems to be settling in around 350 +/- which is just fine. I did not check to see if it was set to h1 or 2. It's 78 degrees here today, so I assume it should have been h1

Set to 350, at that ambient temperature, it hit H2 for sure. The fact that it didn't go into maintenance mode until it reached the set temperature tells me that it was in H2, and the small overshoot temp tells me it was H2. Nothing to worry about at all.

If you want to see what H mode the cooker is running at, prior to it going into maintenance mode, press and hold the START button.
