How long will a ys1500 run on one marine battery? 14hours? Would I need to use two?

After startup, it will draw approximately 50 watts. I have a dual type 27 deep cycle battery setup and run 2 pellet cookers for an entire comp with out issue.

Or, you can always disconnect the igniter and manually start the YS1500 and save the precious juice your batteries have. No reason to use unneeded power if you can take two extra minutes (maybe) to start the cooker manually.

That's what I would do, and there are some teams that do just that.
