What are people’s impressions and experience with charcoal blended pellets like the Lumberjack Char-Hickory?

Have you used them in long cooks? Any issues good or bad?

Thanks

Never tried them. Don't know why I would want charred wood when I'm going to want to burn it. The flavor is from the wood oils. Don't think char has any oils left.

I use smoke daddy brand charcoal pellets and mix with whatever pellets I want 1/3 charcoal to 2/3 regular pellets. I definitely notice the flavor smoking -275. Anything hotter and it just becomes fuel imho. I believe they are made of red oak and charcoal. Great company to do business with and I enjoy the flavor they provide.
