I just received the new Yoder Cast Iron Griddle for my Yoder 480 and what a monster. The griddle is big and heavy and turns you smoker into a flat top grill. I’m curious to know is there any specific instructions as to temperature to set your smoker too or is it just trial and error to find what you want. The griddle goes wall to wall so there is no gap at rear wall where my thermostat is located for smoker so just not sure how the smoker will register temp. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Stan

Can anyone tell me how materially different the branded Yoder Griddle is vs. the Weber one that ATBBQ had been selling for the Yoder the past year or so?

The Yoder griddle is wider (actually replaces half the grates in a YS640), much heavier and thicker.
