I just updated my ys640 firmware from U27 to U29. When I set my temp the smoker way over shoots now and takes a very long time to come back to the set point. For example, I set my temp at 225 and it hit 309 quiclkly then although the lights indicated it was coming down it stayed at 289-289 for a very long time.
Has anyone else experienced this and am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

U26 is the correct version for your cooker, which has the thermocouple on the lower back wall.
