Installing probe port

I ordered a stainless (old style) probe port to install on the right side of my YS640. The instructions say I need a 27/32” drill bit. I have lots of bits, but not a 27/32. None of my friends have a 27/32” bit. Neither Lowe’s or Home Depot have a 27/32 bit in stock. Even the step bits they have do not have a 27/32 step. If anyone here has installed this port, where did you get the 27/32” bit? And I hope it doesn’t cost more than the probe port. Thanks.

Use one a bit larger or smaller. There is wiggle room, look at how the probe port is designed. You could always drill a bit small and grind it larger.

Go to 7/8" with a step bit.

I ordered a 27/32" bit on Amazon for less than $12. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FX ... UTF8&psc=1
Worked great. Fast and no cutting oil. Probe port fiit perfectly.
