Hello folks,

Is there such a thing as a pellet use chart?

If not clear, what I'm trying to determine is how many pellets does it take to cook a brisket at say 12 hours at 225. Any kind of chart exist that show time vs temp = amount of pellets needed to cook?

Thanks folks
Woody

IMO... There are a lot of variables, such as ambient outside temperature, wind, size of brisket, type of pellets, that can effect the amount of pellets needed to complete the cook... I learned this living in Southern Arizona with temps ranging from 34 degrees to 110 degrees. I go for 205 internal temperature of brisket, and I've had it take anywhere from 10 to 17 hours to achieve using a 25# bag of BBQ Delight pellets. Hope this helps!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
