Just want to see if anyone has changed the placement of their temp probe from the hopper side to the back of the cooker?

The older cookers had the thermocouple mounted on the lower left back wall. The newer cookers have the thermocouple mounted on the hopper wall, just under the upper shelf rail.

There was a firmware change made to support the move of the thermocouple to the hopper wall. If you move the thermocouple in an older cooker to the hopper wall, it will nit function correctly, and if you move the thermocouple in a newer cooker to the back wall, it will also not function correctly.

If you have an older cooker with the thermocouple on the back wall, the most current firmware is U26 for a YS640.

If you have a new cooker with the thermocouple on the hopper wall, the most current firmware is U29 for a YS640.

Not really sure why you would want to move the thermocouple. Would you please explain?
