Hello all! I feel compelled to express my appreciation for the YS640. Several years ago I owned a Traeger and I was very disappointed with it's performance. It had very wide temperature swings and the Traeger pellets did not provide much smoke flavor at all. I sold that grill and have cussed pellet cookers for the last five years. While I have friends that compete on pellet grills and swear by bbqr's delight pellets, I would simply not listen. Until purchasing the 640, I've done most of my smoking on a WSM, Primo XL, & Backwoods Fatboy G2. Recently my taste buds have grown tired of the flavor these cookers produce and I wanted another option. So after swallowing my pride, doing some research, and thinking back to the day I once told my father-in-law and brother-in-law that "if I ever got another pellet cooker it would be a Yoder", I bought the 640. The 640 and bbqr's delight pellets produce great BBQ. Most of my family and friends can only laugh and shake their heads at me when I brag on the Yoder, since I have bashed pellet cookers for so long. I would love to own a Yoder offset pit some day, but for now I find myself falling in love with the 640...I just love the way it cooks!!!

Glad you enjoy it! I have had my YS640 for about a year and all I have to do is say I am cooking ribs and people will show up.
