Hello all:

I got a 640 in mid July. Have done two cooks - 1. Alabama chickens 2. Ribs and a 10 lb Pork Shoulder. Both cooks turned out great. I really love this cooker.

My question - after a cook what do you do with a half of hooper of pellets that are left over? Do you leave them in the hopper until the next cook or remove them an store in a plastic bag?

Thanks
Jeff

The best thing to do, if you are not going to use the cooker again in a few days, is to remove the pellets and store them in an air tight container. The easiest way to do this is to get a 5 gallon bucket head vacuum from the big box home store, get some buckets, and use the vacuum to suck the pellets directly into the bucket. Remove the bucket head vacuum and snap on a lid.
