Been thinking about this. If I were to get 5 fire bricks and two square 20-24" pizza stones. Place the first stone to the far right. Surround it with the five 4" high fire bricks leaving the left side open to get the jet blast of the 640 fire and put the second pizza stone on top of the bricks. I have the new plate with the removable grilling hole.

You think I could make a serviceable really hot pizza oven?

Or just face the opening to the front? If you heat it up before you toss the pizza on, the bricks and the pizza stone should be 600f+ so the thin crust pizza should just take 2-3 minutes to cook. My fav is thin crust pizza.

If I face the opening to the left, the fire should also go into the oven and heat the top as much as the bottom.

Dunno, anyone try this?

Yes, you can make a pizza oven yourself but it is not too easy... try to collect information first. You may also need bricks, sand etc for building a pizza oven or it can be built in other many ways as well.

Well... Hoping back in April that someone had done it in a 640. My question was trying to collect info.... Guess you haven't made one in a 640 either. Thanks!
