Hi Mike. Any thoughts on the new "s" model? Did you have a Yoder before or maybe another brand of pellet grill? Looking at purchasing a YS640s and there isn't a lot out of info out there yet.

Apple pellets from the brand Lumberjack. Is the burn grate situated in the right way? I will remove the current sealent and replace it tomorrow. Theres a white spot from the heat in one of the photos. I don’t think thats normal.

Your pit temp is different than the set temp or the readout on the display. I can assure you that the pit temp gauges are a good brand and show the air temp wherever they are located. You'll have to learn more about how they assist in the cook.

1 50 1 1/2 pounds of pellets an hour, but, this depends on a lot of other variables, with the biggest variable being the pellets, i.e., brand, flavor, fly ash content (bark), etc.
